Food & Drinks Cans
Steel cans go for reprocessing to Pontypool in South Wales,
a traditional heartland of the UK steel industry. The recycled
steel could end up in any number of things from cars to
bridges as well as new drink cans.
Aluminium cans go to an aluminium scrap reprocessor
in Oldbury in the West Midlands.
The aluminium could end up in new cars, aeroplanes, and of course, new cans!

Mixed Glass Bottles and Jars
The glass goes for reprocessing to Ellesmere Port
in
Cheshire and used in the production of new glass bottles
and aggregates for road construction.

Plastic Bottles and Containers
There are a number of destinations for different types of plastic. In the UK we supply to reprocessors in Castleford, Liverpool, Redcar, Hemswell (Lincs), Skelmersdale, Loughborough, Leicester, and Dagenham.
Some PET plastic (fizzy drinks bottles) go to Spijk in Holland. Recovered plastic will be used in a variety of products from garden furniture, pipes and ducting, and even clothing!

Paper
Paper goes to a number of outlets throughout the UK and mainland Europe including a local business based in Evesham.
Recycled paper is used in a variety of products from newspaper, books and boxes for board games.

Cartons
For this relatively ‘new’ recyclable product we are sending cartons to Orebro in Sweden to one of the only mills in Europe which can reprocess cartons.
The plastic and paper is separated and used in the manufacture of plasterboard!

Cardboard
Card goes to a number of outlets throughout the UK and mainland Europe where it is used to make a variety of new card products.
